Ten honest comparisons
Compare your auction website options
The right website for an auction company depends on one question more than any other: who will do the page work every week. Here is how a managed auction site compares with the platforms, builders and people you could choose instead, including when they are the better fit.
Group 01
All-in-one platforms
Where your CRM already lives. Often the answer is both, doing different jobs.
Group 02
Content management systems
Full control, and full responsibility for hosting, plugins and updates.
Group 03
Website builders
Build and edit it yourself. Low cost, and the weekly page work is yours.
Group 04
People you could hire instead
A one-off project, or a retainer covering more than the website.
Before you pick
Four questions that decide it for an auction company
Who will do the page work every week?
If the honest answer is "nobody has time", rule out anything you build yourself, however good the tool.
Does the site carry the catalog?
If lots, closing times and results live on the website, you need auction-shaped pages, not a brochure template.
Do you need to be found between sales?
Ranking for sale types and service areas takes a page per type and area, schema and regular articles.
What does it need to connect to?
Your bidding platform and your CRM stay. The website should link or embed the first and feed the second.
Questions about choosing
What is the best website option for an auction company?
It depends on who will maintain the site. If you have a developer or designer, WordPress or Webflow give full control. If you want to build it yourself cheaply, Wix, Squarespace or GoDaddy work for a simple site. If you want an auction catalog built and run for you at a flat monthly fee, that is what a managed site like ours does.
Can I use HighLevel and your website together?
Yes. HighLevel can keep running your CRM, automations and messaging, and forms on the auction website route inquiries into it by API, Zapier or Make.
Are these comparisons fair?
We try hard to make them fair. Every page says when the other option is the better fit, and every fact about another product is taken from that company's own website or help center, with the source listed on the page and the date it was checked.
Why is there no price for the other products?
Other companies change their prices and plan names often, and a stale price on our site would mislead you. Each page describes how the other product charges and links to its official pricing page instead.
What does your managed site cost?
Plans start at $127 a month, plus a $697 one-time build fee invoiced only after your site is live and approved. Hosting, your domain, 5 revisions a month and weekly articles are included.
Will switching to you hurt my search rankings?
Not when the move is mapped. We redirect every old URL to its new page with a 301 redirect at launch, so pages that already rank keep resolving.
Do you build bidding software?
No. We are not a licensed auctioneer, bidding platform or escrow provider. We build and manage the website around the bidding platform you already use.
Are you affiliated with any of these companies?
No. The products named here are trademarks of their owners, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
HighLevel, GoHighLevel, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, GoDaddy and Airo are trademarks of their respective owners. BidWebStudio is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
